Do you waste a lot of time on the internet, surfing Reddit/Cracked/The Chive/Break/FB/DA, checking email every ten minutes or signing up for more newsletters to read, all so you can justify your time spent on the 'net while your "To Do" list builds or is "conveniently" lost?

Yeah, me too.

I want to break myself of this habit! And I need some help to do it! Either join me or become my cheer-squad, but either way, I'm going to do it!



For 21 days I will be challenging myself to do one creative thing a day - and not just START, I mean finish, too (unless it's a knitted sweater or something, that falls under "special considerations"). Either writing, drawing, creating something out of yarn, fabric or paper, organizing my space(s) or Shannen's space(s), writing those blasted patterns I plan, or any other multitude of things I have on my to do list.

My reason? It takes 21 days to set a new habit. If I set up my days, say, every morning, to complete one project that day, not only will my day feel more PRODUCTIVE, but then I can totally justify spending an hour on the computer! LOL

Or, just cheer me on! But I will say this, anyone who does decide to join me, and COMPLETES THEIR 21 DAYS, might end up with a special ACEO in their mailbox!


Rules? Complete one project a day for 21 days (and hopefully longer as it will become a habit!)
Project Rules? Projects can be anything! Writing, drawing, graphic design, crafts of any medium! Just start and finish on the same day!
Special Considerations? Say you want to knit a sweater (or finish a large project), well, that's a big undertaking to finish in one day. So gauge out your time. Think it'll take 21 days? Then do other small projects to keep you working and feeling accomplished in the mean time!
When do we start? I started on the 17th of January, but you can start whenever suits you! If you need to get prepared and rev up your creative engines, start on February 1st! As long as you go the whole 21 days, it's up to you when you want to start - and finish!
How do we share? Well, photos are great! But if you don't want to bog down your whole DevArt account with random one-day projects, sign up for Tumblr, or a Flickr account! Post it on a personal blog, (Blogger works well) or just post it in your scraps on DA. Either way, share in the comments where we can find your projects and I'll link them beside your DA Icon!
